We need volunteers to line the fields!

posted Sep 27, 2013, 6:28 PM by Lee Cain   [ updated May 3, 2014, 6:34 PM ]

During the Fall Recreational Season, your current and past league presidents have been painting the lines before Saturday Recreational League games -- we need volunteers to step forward and help with this so it doesn't all fall on their shoulders. Lining the fields is a lovely meditative experience that anyone can do with some simple training and about an hour each Thursday in September and October. Please email Tim Fastabend at walluski AT charter.net to find out how you can help.

We need your help at the Concession Stand!

posted Aug 30, 2013, 6:07 PM by Lee Cain   [ updated May 3, 2014, 6:09 PM ]

To All Recreational League Parents,
As a parent of a developing young soccer player, you may elect to help out at concessions or coaching to help defray the costs of your kids playing soccer this year ($30 savings per athlete). You may check one of these boxes when they register, or you can pay the extra $30, or you (VERY generously) became a team sponsor. The last two choices obviously exempt you from further volunteering, but of course we still welcome additional help.
Please use the first Saturday (Sept 6) of Fall Recreational Season to sign up for your commitments.

We especially need help every Saturday in the Concessions Stand --
parents need to go there Saturday September 6 or the next Saturday to sign up for a date and time slot. They can do this before or after their child's game.

Also, we are looking for volunteers to help coordinate the concession stand -- shopping, banking, opening, and closing. Anybody willing to help with all or part of this, please contact:
Julia Mabry at:   jmabry AT hotmail.com  OR  call  503-468-8082

LYCSA continues to be, to the best of our knowledge, the least expensive youth soccer league in Oregon. We are in that category because of the wonderful volunteers that make the league and fields run like a beautiful machine for the beautiful game.  Please help us keep operating smoothly!
